Latasha Pulliam
Illinois In 1991, Pulliam and her boyfriend sexually assaulted, tortured and strangled her neighbors 6-year-old daughter in Chicago. Pulliam confessed to shutting the girl in a closet until she suffocated, and then hiding the body in a garbage can.

Kelly Brookshire
Georgia Gissendaner was convicted in 1998 of recruiting her lover to kill her husband, Doug Gissendaner, 30. Her boyfriend, Gregory Owen, testified against her as part of a plea bargain that landed him a life sentence but spared him from the death penalty.
Prosecutors said Gissendaner, a mother of three from Auburn, wanted her husband dead so she could profit from two life insurance policies
and the couple's.

Florida In 1991, Larzelere hired a man to murder her third husband in Edgewater, Fla.,
so she could collect .1 million in insurance. Larzelere took out seven separate insurance policies on her dentist husband the year before his death.

Virginia Caudill
Kentucky Sentenced to death March 24, 2000 in Fayette County for murder, robbery I, burglary I, arson II and tampering with physical evidence. On March 15, 1998, Caudill and accomplice Johnathan Wayne Goforth entered the home of a 73 year old female, beat her to death and then burglarized her home. They then placed her body in the trunk of her own vehicle and drove her to a rural area in Fayette County and set the car on fire.

Blanche Taylor Moore
North Carolina BW-Blanche Taylor Moore (1966-1989) killed 2 husbands, one or more lovers, a pastor, her father and mother-in-law in Burlington, North Carolina by arsenic poisoning made to look like severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, and Guillain-Barre syndrome. Her husbands and men she had affairs with reminded her of her abusive father, whom she also killed in a family reconciliation meeting. She won a ,000 sexual harassment suit against Krogers while at the same time she was poisoning a coworker-lover there. Bodies had to be exhumed for evidence, and she was convicted to die by lethal injection in 1991.

Christene Kemmerlin
North Carolina Accused hit man William Antone Johnson will stand trial Tuesday, charged with accepting to kill a Reidsville man in 1999.
The murder trial will be the second spawned by the shooting death of Wayne Kemmerlin on March 24, 1999. His wife, Christene Kemmerlin, was sentenced to death in October for organizing the murder.
Kemmerlin had a brief affair with Johnson before the murder. It was her second affair during a 6-month search for a hit man to kill her husband.

Christina Walters
North Carolina Aleged leader of a local Crips gang, on trial for double gang-initiation murder of two women.
Woman goes on trial in double murder.
Opening statements are scheduled to begin today in the murder trial of Christina Walters, who is accused of being the ringleader of a local Crips gang.
She is the 3rd person convicted in the Aug. 17, 1998, slayings of Tracy Lambert and Susan Moore and the attempted murder of Debra Cheeseborough.
Walters admitted to pumping several .32-caliber bullets into Cheeseborough and leaving her for dead. Cheeseborough, who was shot 7 times, survived and testified at Walters' trial.

Carlette Parker
North Carolina In Raleigh, Carlette Parker was supposed to be taking care of 86-year-old
Alice Covington, but prosecutors said she was really stealing from the elderly woman and eventually killed her [by drowning in the bathtub].
Parker, then a 34-year-old registered nurse assistant, did not make her living caring for elderly people, but preying upon them. She was convicted of kidnapping Covington from the Springmoor Retirement Home in Raleigh in 1998. Parker forced Covington to withdraw money from her bank account then killed her. Police found Covington dead in her car in Research Triangle Park.
In 1995, Parker was convicted of bilking an elderly Garner woman out of ,000. Covington's death deeply affected many of the residents at
Springmoor retirement home. Many of them were in the courtroom as the trial opened. Detectives said they searched Covington's car and found a stun gun
and pepper spray, items that probably were used in the abduction.

Christa Gail Pike
Tennessee One of the youngest women on Death Row at age 21, in 1995 Christa used a box cutter and rocks to torture and murder a 19 year old girl she suspected of being interested in her boyfriend. She also carved a pentagram into the victim's chest. Awaits execution.
